Getting Ready for Baby

I went to the dr today and was told that I have progressed and that I could go at any time! My dr. doesn't expect me to make it to my due date- the 15th.
I guess that's all it took to realize that the time has come to start getting ready. Here's the family getting the bouncy chair put together. I think Maddox may be more of a handy man then his daddy!

Ava's b-day party

Last weekend we had a fun Luau to Celebrate Ava's b-day party. Maddox played in the sandbox the entire time and Maci loved the swings. Here's Maci doing crafts, Maddox in the sand, a family portrait, and a picture of the birthday girl and her family.

Picture Day

I can't believe how hard it is as a parent when picture day comes around. Who knew the stress, time and energy required to pick out the perfect outfit. Then you spend the time with the hair, ironing, etc. Making sure breakfast isn't messy, or they don't spill their milk. And then the numerous leactures about "don't touch your hair" "don't lay down" "don' sit that way" yada, yada, yada!!! Well we made it. After a few days of not finding anything (even though we just spent how much on school clothes?) we picked an outfit Granny Adams gave her. After dropping her off and seeing what the other kids have on I realized that some mom's don't make it as difficult as I do(their kids hair sticking up and clothes not matching and stained) and others think it's Easter with the huge fluffy dresses that the kids are going to enjoy during pe and recess!! Anyway- we'll see how the pictures turn out in a few weeks and I guess I have no control!!!
Oh- Maddox couldn't be left out!

1st School Sickness

We've made it to school for a full week- only 2 days of the full days- and Maci already found the strep virus. After a long weekend of her sleeping and not eating we decided to go to the dr and sure enough- we have strep! Gotta love school!

1st Bus Ride

Maci was so excited about the bus. Here she is getting off the bus on the first day. She decided it is too long on the "hot bus". I don't blame her- she's on it for an hour and 10 minutes after school. Hopefully she will enjoy the social aspect that her mommy would of loved! But she may be a little more like her daddy then her mommy when it comes to her social-ness! (Is that even a word?) Julia made it off the bus first and is in the front- Maci is practically hidden- but you still get the picture of the bus!

Baby Sprinkle for #3!

Thank you mom and Heather for throwing me a great sprinkle! Also, thank you to everyone that helped us celebrate the coming birth of this new little one! I can't wait to dress him in all the cute clothes, tiny diapers, and finish his bedroom. Your the best!

Maci's 1st Day of Kindergarten

Can you believe I'm old enough to have a little girl in school!!!! I can't. Our baby girl started kindergarten this year and it's all day. She loves it- but her momma sure misses her. I never thought I would be that teary eyed mom- but I guess you learn something new about yourself all the time.

Our neighbor girl, Julia, is in her class and the two of them ride the bus home to play after school. Here's a picture of her getting ready to go to school, and her and Julia after the first day!

We can't believe the time is getting so close for number 3 to join us. We decided to take some family photo's before church since everyone was so color coordinated. You won't believe me but the clothes weren't planned.

Swimming Week-end

We're trying to get the fun out of the summer before the pools close. We spent a long weekend trying out all the local favorites. Friday we went swimming at South Park Wading Pool (Maddox's Favorite) Saturday we went to Camden's (the little boy I babysit) birthday party at the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center (mom's favorite) and then Sunday we went swimming at Granny and Papa Adams' pool (Maci's favorite). However after the weekend of fun, Maci ended up with an ear infection and swimmers ear. Love the tans, hate the swimmers ear!!!
