We saw Santa

I now have a 5 yr old and have never been able to get a picture with Santa. The first two have been to old by the time Christmas comes around and won't go near him. But this year we did it- Lincoln is still young enough to go to anyone, and big sister has to protect him- but as you can tell - Maddox still didn't care to get close. He would scream across the room to Santa- "Hi Christmas" and "Bye Christmas" but he didn't want to go near him. Yes- he's a little silly- he won't call him Santa, he calls him Christmas.

Cousins Christmas

We love to get together with Eric's brothers and cousins each year. The kids enjoy spending the time together. The food is always good and Thank you Megan for taking care of the activities for the kids. They loved it!

1st Snow

We were so excited to get the 8-10 inches of snow this last weekend. However, typical of our weather, we didn't get anything close. The kids still loved playing in the freezing cold.

Baby Oliver

As I posted earlier a very good friend of mine had a little boy who needed open heart surgery. Well thanks to all the prayers he is recovering more and more every day! Here's a picture of the little guy as he recovers. Boy are the chicks going to dig his scar when he's older :) Keep the prayers coming!

My Princess

I had some people concerned about Maddox since he likes girls shoes and mimi's wigs- well take a look at how he came out of the toy room today- wow- we may be in trouble!

Who does Lincoln look like?

Everyone has started to say Lincoln is looking like Maddox- I attached pictures of him with both siblings. What do you think?

3 months old

Lincoln is 3 months old already. It's amazing how fast time has gone. He is a happy and very easy baby.

I look like mimi!

Maddox was playing in my mom's wigs and came running in to the room saying... "I look like mimi!" I have to say he makes a pretty cute girl, with great hi-lites!

Our backyard

I looked out back today and there was a deer close enough to pet. I felt horrible when he went to run away because he started to limp. He was dragging his front leg.
He walked all the way to the fence line and couldn't even jump. I felt so sorry for him. How's he going to run away from the lions and tigers?

Making Christmas cookies

Once again- it's time for some yummy cookies in our house. Eric and the kids made me my favorite cookies- the one's with the candy kisses in the middle- yummy! While the big kids baked, Lincoln slept- poor guy- never gets to enjoy the fun!

My little chub-a-lub!

I took Lincoln in for his 3 month pictures and decided to try to get one of Maddox too for his 3 year pictures. Maddox has hit the stage that he doesn't like pictures and makes it impossible to get a good one. Well sure enough- when I least expected it, he actually cooperated- so we got one!

And yes! Lincoln is VERY healthy!!!

I also included one of the three of them. Maci had just got home from school when we took off, and yes moms- even if you spend all morning primping your little girls, the school day plays havic on our little angels! She get's off the bus looking like she's worked a 12 hour day in the coal mines!

Our Little Dancer!

Maddox came up from the toy room dressed like this today. I had to laugh at the shoes. He found some of his sisters old dance shoes and wouldn't take them off. He couldn't decide if he wanted to do ballet or tap.

Go Hawks!

Lincoln watched football with daddy. You can tell he wasn't watching the game since he has a smile on his face- but we're proud of our Jayhawks anyway!

Lincoln's Baby Dedication

Sunday Lincoln had his baby dedication at Church. You can see in the picture that Maddox wasn't too into the prayer!

Building the trees

Christmas is on the way. We had the fun of putting up our tree's with the help of 3 little one's this year. Maci and Maddox loved it, but Lincoln slept thru the whole thing! (Maci has decided she likes to flash this type of smile for every picture now- lovely!)

Thanksgiving

We love Thanksgiving and family time. We had a house full for Thanksgiving. It was a lot of great food and great fun. Maci loves watching the Macy's Day Parade (she thinks it's named after her.) The kids loved playing with great grandma, and Lincoln loves all his attention he gets from his cousins!

Prayer Request Please!

Our Great friends had their new baby (Oliver) Friday after Thanksgiving. Beth and Russ (in the picture in black) and their little boy Calvin (in the jeep with Maddox) have a new little boy that needs your prayers. Oliver was born with a heart defect that will require surgery. It's going to be a tough couple weeks, but with everyone's prayers, Oliver will be home for Christmas!!!

Family Dinner

We eat as a family every night and Lincoln finally graduated to the dinner table with us. Here he is on his first family dinner!

Crazy Kid

Our little angel is turning into a crazy kid. We caught him going to the bathroom like this today. I'm sure you can guess that he didn't make the toilet! The bag over his head seemed to hinder his aim!

Band-aid boy

Maddox loves Band-aids. He could cut a finger off, and if you put a band-aid on it, it no longer hurts. He can also have a runny nose- and think he needs a band-aid. I wanted to get a picture of the one he had to have in his hair- but I didn't get to the camera in time before he pulled it out.
By the way- those are BIG BOY pants!!! He finally decided to potty train!!! It doesn't matter that he's 19 and leaves for college in the fall, we didn't want to force him!

Stuck!

Maddox was playing in the living room and started crying. When I went to see what he was doing he said he was stuck. I thought it was funny so I grabbed my camera, got a picture, then went to get him out. He REALLY was STUCK!! I COULDN'T GET HIM OUT. Finally, after ripping off his chest, I finally got him out. Both of us were very relieved.

A UFO is coming

The boys (Maddox and Camden, the little boy I watch)and Maci were playing outside when they came running in because there was a UFO. They could hear the aliens talking and they could see it about to land beyond our trees. They were so serious. I wish I could of got a picture of the UFO!

Trying to get a Chrismas Picture

I was trying to get a picture for our Christmas card- but my little darling decided not to cooperate. 2 is such a fun age!
